Preparing for your PMU treatment... (ALL treatments)

For *ALL* PMU procedures, it’s best to refrain from direct sun exposure and stop using any skin irritants (like retinoids, acids,

or exfoliants) on the area for at least a week before your treatment to avoid irritating sensitive skin.

If you’re receiving a lip neutralization/blushing treatment, I recommend gently exfoliating your lips and applying a moisturizing ointment regularly to ensure healthy lip tissue for about a week. If you have EVER had a cold sore, see about getting a prescription of Valtrex and start taking 48 hours in advance, if you cannot get a prescription prior to, start taking L-Lysine 500 mg tablets 48 hours ahead of procedure. This can be found at most stores, or online.

For SMP, you will not be able to shave your hair for a week so if needed prior, please do 48 hours in advance.

For 3D Areola tattooing, please where a button up shirt day of treatment.

    How PMU works:

I use a sophisticated hand-held device that houses a single-use sterile needle or cluster of needles to apply pigments.

These puncture the skin in a swift, controlled motion to deposit color into your skin’s dermal layer.

With a pigment applied to the brows and lips, permanent makeup creates results that mirror

the look of expertly applied conventional makeup.

For SMP, the pigment applied mirrors the look of natural hair follicles.

Benefits of permanent makeup, and why it's a game-changer for several reasons:

    · Saves time applying and removing daily makeup.

    · Enhances your natural features.

    · Alleviates application challenges for individuals with vision issues or motor impairments.

    · Remains un-smudged while sweating, swimming, and eating.

    · Minimizes imperfections such as scars, asymmetry, or pigmentation irregularities.

Permanent makeup is also a simple solution if you want to feel a little more put together without the effort, or if you aren’t

particularly skilled at makeup application but want to enhance your look. Many clients choose permanent makeup as a part

of their bridal makeup routine to be photo-ready from engagement to honeymoon and beyond!

Who is a good candidate for permanent makeup?

Anyone over the age of 18 who wants to simplify their beauty routine and feel more

confident about their appearance is likely a candidate for permanent makeup. Part of your consultation involves

a skin evaluation and review of your medical history to be sure permanent

makeup can safely achieve your cosmetic goals.

    Your treatment options...

I offer several PMU options at the Blading by Bre's Studio! A full list of services available are listed on the "services"

    section of my website.

How do I choose the color for my permanent makeup?

I will help you choose a color that suits your skin tone and hair color to create a natural, enhanced look that beautifully

complements your features. Feel free to bring any of your favorite lipstick colors to your lip blush appointment.

How many sessions will I need?

The initial treatment is always followed by a touch-up "perfecting" session; and you will be informed of that time frame during consultation and after your appointment. That session is essential for your PMU results to turn out as desired, and is to make any refinements and reinforce any lost pigment during the initial healing process. For SMP, Lip neutralization, and Scar Camo, you may need an additional treatment based on your skin type and desired results—we’ll have a good idea of how many sessions you’ll need to achieve the look you want after your first healed session.

What to expect from your PMU procedure.

Your safety and satisfaction are my top priority, and I want you to feel completely confident about your treatment!
During your consultation, we’ll discuss your specific goals and carefully examine the treatment area. Once I understand your expectations, I’ll explain what procedure(s) will best achieve your goals and answer any questions you may have.

    PMU aftercare:

I’ll provide personalized aftercare instructions depending on the treated area, but all aftercare instructions
typically include keeping the area clean, dry, avoiding direct sun exposure, no sweating for a period of time, refraining from picking at or rubbing the area and keeping ointment on the area a couple times a day.

    Your PMU results...

Most clients can expect to enjoy their PMU results for a few years; however, individual results will vary

and can be impacted by several factors, including:

    · Skin type: PMU pigment on oily skin tends to fade faster.

    · Life style: Swimming and sweating may contribute to ink/pigments fading faster.

    · Sun exposure: UV exposure can break down pigments more quickly.

    · Skin care routine: Exfoliants and other products with active ingredients may fade tattoos faster.

All PMU procedures will have a ghosting phase right after the initial session. You will be informed of this prior to, but is is important to remember! Do not let this concern you, it is NORMAL!

    Touch-up treatments to maintain results.

Unless you're getting a permanent tattoo, Blading by Bre treatments are semi-permanent and will naturally fade over time,

and periodic touch-up treatments allow me to perfect the look. I’ll add micropigmentation pigment to areas that may have faded and make any adjustments you desire to the color or placement as desired.
